We set off for tapas today, but ended up with main meal only. Some restaurants/tapasbars in Granada tend to reserve the majority of the tables for main meals, or dinner if you like, only. That means they have 10 tables or so with good comfortable chairs reserved for this. While only a couple of tables with hard wooden chairs, are for having tapas. Puerta del caballo is such a place.
After sitting down you learn that at this table, there is no tapas. Not even with the beer before the meal is served. I do understand that these places need high income due to high rent, but... So, if you want tapas, stand up by the bar or go somewhere else.
In the central area of Granada, there are many places like this. And they are a bit expensive too. So in my opinion, the only reason for coming here for tapas, is the location, which of course is excellent.
So I think we can say that if you want the best ratio between tapas size and price, you need to move out of the central area of Granada. And I think we can say that Plaza de Bibarrambla is more or less in the center.
