Huetor Vega is a "pueblo" just up the hills from Granada. In fact i has almost become a part of the city now, after the construction boom. It is not a place you normally go to when visiting Granada though.
If you do end up here for some reason during the summer, be sure to head for the Parque de la Nava. There is only one bar in the park, and they are very generous with their tapas. After a few beers, you are not going to look for a restaurant. We were served Longanizas and Morcillas, which are typical for this area Service and friendliness is top notch.
